In December 2019, a cluster of pneumonia
cases were linked to the seafood market in Wuhan which later gave way to the ongoing
outbreak of coronavirus. The Huanan seafood
market in Wuhan has been widely considered the source of outbreak of the novel
coronavirus.
The pandemic throws light on how the animals are
exploited physically and mentally are killed and eaten in China’s Huanan Seafood Wholesale Market. Not only china, there are many such markets prominent throughout the world where the animals are bought and sold in the market; starved, exposed to tremendous noise throughout the day. They are even tied
and transported to long distances for trade.
